Essie Mae White, affectionally known as “Biscuit,” was born September 29, 1960 in Sardis, Alabama to the late Collie Junior Marshall and Ressie Virginia Lewis. She received her wings on December 4, 2018.

Essie Mae graduated from Selma High School in 1979. She married the love of her life, Mike T, in 1994. Essie was dedicated to her family and friends and was the epitome of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. For over twenty years she was a faithful employee at the Market Street Deli and provided home health care to Joey Farrell, whom she loved like a son. Essie was a devoted member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Princess Anne, Maryland.
Essie is survived by: her loving husband, Michael White, better known as “Mike T”; three sons, Jovonnie “Rachod” Marshall, Chappelle (LaShonda) Marshall, and Rodney (Chrystal) Collier; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia (John) Lawson and Amy Jackson, both of Selma, AL; seven brothers, Elder Charles (Delois) Dixon of Montgomery, AL, Fred (Brenda) Dixon of Dixie Mills, AL, Asie Marshall and Collie Jackson, both of Selma, AL, Wendell Marshall of MN, Lee Andrew Marshall and Terry (Kawmasheika) Marshall, both of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Essie was preceded in death by: her mother, Ressie Lewis; father, Collie Marshall; sisters and brothers, Annie Gordon, Bertha Allen, Rosetta Allen, Jimmie Lee Allen, Charlie Ray, and Frank Marshall.
