Steve, known as “Wizard” to family and friends, was educated in the Accomack County Public Schools. At an early age he joined St. John’s Independent Church.
Throughout his lifetime, Steve was employed by Didlake [formerly E. S. Action], as a groundskeeper at NASA Flight Facility at Wallops Island until his health began to fail. He enjoyed hanging with family and friends. Steve was a hard worker and was a jack of all trades. If you needed your Kerosene heater fixed and many other things, he was the person to go to. Steve truly enjoyed cutting grass and trimming weeds, he made sure the yard was always manicured. He also took pride in providing for his church. He would always make sure the air conditioning was on in the summer and heat in the winter, so that the members were always comfortable when they entered.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, brother, three uncles, three aunts, and a great-niece.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Allison Harmon and Cynthia Harmon; one brother, Roosevelt Harmon; two aunts, Betty Harmon and Eleanor Marshall; four nieces; four nephews; five great-nieces; nine great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
