She fought a good fight. The light went dim on December 30, 2018, where the captain (God) sent Monique Chaytrel Davis her ticket for flight 1820 to come and be at rest.

Monique began life on November 25, 1979. She was the daughter of Claudette Myers and the late James E. Davis. At an early age she joined Macedonia Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board and sang with the Thomasina Intermediate Choir. Monique began her education at Christian Junior Academy, then continued at Mt. Pisgha Christian Academy, and graduated from Beach Channel High School in Queens, New York.
Monique was briefly employed at Sky Way Food Service at Kennedy Airport.
Her greatest achievement was becoming a mother. Anna Maria Miley and Erika Grace Gamble, were truly a blessing to her. Together with her high school sweetheart, Erick Gamble, they enjoyed life together until the Lord called her home.
Monique leaves to mourn: her mother, Mrs. Claudette (James) Myers of Raleigh, NC; two daughters, Anna M. Miley and Ericka G. Gamble; stepmother, Ms. Pearl Davis; stepsister, Cassandra Davis; adopted sister, Cristina Gomez; two stepbrothers, Marc Davis and Barry Davis; one aunt, Rev. Paulette Brown of Wilmington, DE; two adopted aunts, Ms. Bernice L. Wharton and Ms. Roberta Kinloch, both of NY; one uncle, Thomas L. (Diane) Johnson of Selbyville, DE; three mentors, Anna L. Blake, Elder Evionne Mitchell, and Pastor Shiela Smart; niece, Deanna Denman; three nephews, Marc Davis, Jr., Lamont Davis, Jr., and Dumont Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relative, and friends.
Monique was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, David H. (Hazel) Cropper; sister, Crystal L. Cropper; brother, James L. Davis; father, James E. Davis; uncle, David H. Cropper, Jr.; three aunts, Della M. Wharton, Noami Brauchamp, and Mamie Davis; and godparents, Ulyress L. (Ella) Jackson.
