William Hillary Parker, husband of Tennie A. Parker and son of the late Major Parker, Sr. and Lucille Mapp Parker, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his home in Keller, after a brief illness.

Hillary was born in Wachapreague, Virginia on March 6, 1928. He received his education in the public schools of Accomack County, where he remained a life-long resident. At an early age, he joined Burton’s Chapel Independent Methodist Church. Hillary was employed as a horse groomer locally and in New York for several years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend.
William was preceded in death by his siblings, Leroy, George, Major, Jr., Garland, Virginia, Reccie, and Geneva; grandson, Marcus Johnson; and nieces and nephews.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Tennie A. Parker; seven children, Shirley (Warren) Oates, William Parker, Jean Parker, Barry (Shirley) Parker, Wayne (Sylvia) Parker, Karen Gilliam, and Brenda (Tyrone) Collins; eighteen grandchildren, Darius, Rashad, Marcus, Demetrius, Nicole, Barry, Jr., Shaneka, Lanisha, Gwendolyn, Sheila, Shayna, Sharaya, Roshad, Kimberly, Dominique, and Tyneria, two special granddaughters, Tywanda (Terrance) and Latifah “Booty” (De’Andre); thirty-eight great-grandchildren; a special great-granddaughter, Sheniqua “Bulldug”; nieces and nephews, Glasgow, Janice, Major (Helen), John (Jean), Freddie (Scarlett), Joseph, Edward, Malatarf (Roxie), and Robert; special cousin, Helen Bundick; three sisters-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
