Sharry was the best daughter to her parents, the best big sister to her five brothers, the best mommy ever to her three children, and the best nana to her five grandchildren. They all were her heart. She had an infectious smile, uplifting spirit, and kind soul that had a positive impact on everyone around her. Sharry was the Eastern Shore’s Sweetheart.
Sharry’s life was filled with her love for God, her family, and her work. She really loved to read! Her favorite books included The Bible, Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, and books by James Patterson, just to name a few. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, attending the movies with friends, and shopping at Bath and Body Works with her mother.
She completed her education within the Accomack County school system. After graduating from Arcadia High School in 1987, she received her accounting clerk diploma the following year. She was employed as a contractor for the Navy at Wallops Island, as a Hazmat Technician for twenty-nine years. Additionally, she worked as a cashier at Walmart for six years. She loved both jobs very much.
In 1996, Sharry became a member of The Pentecostal Church of God of Lincoln Incorporated, in Newark, Maryland, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was incredibly active, faithful, and dedicated at church. Sharry was the president of the youth department, sang in various choirs, served as an usher, taught Sunday school, and was a member of the praise team. She loved working with the children at the church and was an inspiration to her congregation.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as her grandson, Xander Reigh Holden.
