OLA CORINE MURPHY JUBILEE departed this life on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the age of 72 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. She was born on September 9, 1946 in Silas, Alabama, to the late Frank and Lucy Johnson Murphy.

Ola, known as “Corine” to many, was educated in the public schools of Silas, Alabama. She also attended Carver State seeking a degree in Elementary Education. In the days of her youth, feeling a need for a higher power in her life, she confessed her belief in Christ, was baptized and joined the Shady Grove Baptist Church in Silas, Alabama.
Ola met and married the love of her life, Roland Jubilee, Jr. on December 6, 1969, this union was blessed with a son, Marvelous Jubilee. After this union, she relocated to the Eastern Shore of Virginia and joined the New Mount Zion Baptist Church. She served faithfully as a member of the Deaconess, Sunday School, Usher, and Youth Advisor Ministries. She served faithfully until her health failed.
Her productive years were spent providing and caring for her family. She worked as a Recreation Specialist for the Accomack Parks and Recreation and as a Teacher Assistant for Accomack County Public School. She loved to do arts and crafts and interact with youth in the community.
She will be lovingly remembered by: husband, Roland Jubilee Jr.; one son, Marvelous (Nakisha) Jubilee; stepson, Jutono (Tonja) Hardy; two stepdaughters, Robany Pittman and Dianna (Donald) Baynard; six brothers, Wilbert (Mosserine) Murphy, William (Annie) Murphy, Cleo (Mary) Murphy, Preston (Ora) Murphy, Johnny (Betty) Murphy, and Aaron Murphy; two sisters, Ella Pugh and Erma (Hubert) Philon; sister-in-law, Carrie Murphy; grandchildren, Shaquasha and Jazmona Jubilee, Keosha and Shontillous Johnson, Adriona Hardy, Aron, Ariel, Jaron, and Adonna Pittman, and Dontae and Dominique Baynard; three godchildren, Danielle Strand, Kenya Baines, and Shonta Godwin; two foster daughters, Tyree James Savage and Tanya Ames; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by four sisters, Minnie Brown, Ruby Hunter, Estella, and Josephine Murphy; and two brothers, Sammy and James Murphy.
