Linwood Williams was born on October 4, 1936 to the late Morris Williams and Burnice Miller. He departed this life on September 24, 2019 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Nassawadox, Virginia.

“Cheese,” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. He began working in the construction industry in his late teens and continued throughout his adulthood. Cheese dedicated over fifty years working in the construction industry, as a skilled concrete finisher. His last employer was C. Lee Davis.
Linwood was a long-time member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Atlantic, Virginia. He was a member of the choir in earlier years and maintained the church grounds for many years.
Linwood was married to Corrine Milbourne Williams until her passing on October 13, 2009. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Sammie Williams, Roland Taylor, Sr., Stan Williams, Bill Williams, and Harvey Taylor; and five sisters, Francis Watson, Pearl Williams, Alcora Williams, Sarah Anderson, and Clair Taylor.
Cheese leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Luetta (Braden) Tyler; two sons, Linwood (Yasmin) Parker and Gregory (Michelle) Parker; two stepchildren, Brenda (Kim) Mosley and Barbara Northan; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; adopted sisters, Janie Miller and Gloria Phillips; one sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
