Thel, as she was affectionately known, began her education in the Accomack County Public Schools and finished with her EGD from the Job Corps in New Jersey.
Thel’s work history included: a life insurance agent, Quality control supervisor at the Eastern Shore Seafood, custodial services, and multiple stents within the Accomack County School System ranging from cafeteria worker to substitute teacher, her last position before her death.
Thel enjoyed attending her home church, First Baptist Church in Mappsville. She was a member of the missionary, the senior choir, and a Deaconess. She loved listening to gospel music.
Mom, mother, Thel, Thelma, or Mrs. Woolford was very unique, she did it her way. She believed in the importance of education and expressed that belief to others. Her wisdom and fortitude will be greatly missed.
