Ann Handy, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, was called to her heavenly home on September 20, 2019. She was born on January 18, 1937 to John and Nellie White Handy.

Ann was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. She was employed by the Accomack County Nursing Home for many years in the environmental department. Ann acknowledged Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Ann loved being with her children and other family and friends. Family gatherings were her favorite; she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and playing cards with her family. Her jovial and outgoing spirit will be missed by all.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, whom she dearly loved, Georgia Scarborough, India Payton, Elizabeth Handy, Mabel Mason, Eleanor Middleton, Florine Moore, Margaret Spear, Sarena Barnes, Blanche Parker, Frances Winberg, and Gertrude Bonwell; and brothers, Simon Handy, Isacc Handy, and Eddie Handy.
She leaves to cherish her memories: six daughters, whom she loved dearly, Shirley Lilliston, Viola (Gregory) Williams, Vana (Samuel) Dennis, all of Bloxom, VA, Mae (Monty) Davis of Nelsonia, VA, Sadra Bailey, and Bonnie Hinmon, both of Bloxom, VA; three loving sons, Larry Handy of Bloxom, VA, Henry (Linda) Handy of Atlantic, VA, and Donnie Ayers of Bloxom, VA; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
