Michelle Angelic Sample, daughter of the late Gerald Scarborough and Myrtis Sample, was born on July 8, 1969. She departed this life on April 21, 2020 at her residence in Melfa, Virginia.

“Sha Sha,” as she was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. She was employed at Perdue Farms in Accomac, Virginia.
Sha was a member of Holy Trinity Baptist Church in Pungoteague, Virginia. She was also a member of the culinary ministry.
Sha Sha was a people-person, she was life of the party. She loved music and dancing. She was fascinated with cars and loved for hers to be clean. She would say, “I can’t ridin’ in no dirty car.” Sha loved to make people laugh. She loved her kids and her family. Her two favorite sayings were, “Family Is All We Got,” and “Sha Sha in the Building!”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shakira Sample.
Left to cherish memories are: her only son, Donta Sample of Melfa Va; two sisters, Tracy (William) Gunter Melfa, VA and Nakia Sample Accomac, VA; one brother, Kenyatta (Demetria) Sample of Canton, GA; two aunts, Sandra Sample of Dover, DE and Cheryl Kellam of Gainsville FL; two uncles, Howard (Betty) Sample of Bronx, NY and Charles Scarborough, Sr. of Keller, VA; one great-aunt, Martha Sample of Nassawadox, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
