Bobby Jermaine Bailey, beloved son of Robert Bailey, Sr. and Celestine C. Beckett, was born on April 7, 1983 in Nassawadox, Virginia. He departed this life on April 26, 2020 at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

Bobby was known by many names; “Lil’ Bobby,” “Bobby Boo,” to his siblings he was “Popa Doc,” “Drawls,” “Jesus,” “Baby Brother,” and to his loving parents he was “Our Son.” He was educated in the public schools of Accomack County and was a graduate of Nandua High School. Bobby was employed at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital until his health began to fail.
Bobby attended St. Luke A. M. E. Church in Daugherty, Virginia. He assisted in several ministries and his presence will surely be missed.
Bobby was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan, and bled green. He had an undying love for his family and friends. He had a special bond with his uncles, George and Charles, aunts, Barbara and Survilla, and his cousin, Millie Bagwell; he loved to get her recipes. He took being an uncle seriously and his love for his nieces and nephews was unwavering. Bobby enjoyed spending quality time with his dad, washing their cars and riding around. He enjoyed traveling with family, especially trips to the Outer Banks and family reunions.
Bobby loved to eat and cook and enjoyed trying new dishes to share with his family. He would spend countless hours playing his Xbox and entertaining people on Facebook. He kept folks in stitches from laughing, shaking, and scratching their heads from what he posted.
He lived his life to the fullest and with no regrets. He cared for others in life and continued to do it in death, through organ donation.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Celestine (Andrew) Beckett; father, Robert (Brenda) Bailey, Sr.; siblings, Mario (Cheneka) Watson, Robert Bailey, Jr., Rashaw Strand, Michelle Bailey, and Tayannia Ames; seven uncles, James Chandler, George (Juanita) Chandler, Nelson (Dorin) Chandler, Charles (Margaret) Chandler, Roger (Dorothy) Bailey, Donald (Jeanette) Bailey, and Chester Fulton; three aunts, Barbara Chandler, Survilla (Frederick) Mitchell, and Chestina Fulton; cousins who were like brothers, Joaquin Chandler, Kristopher Bagwell, Phillip Bagwell, and Theutis Wharton; good friend, Christopher Elder, who was also like a brother; loving godson, Dorien Smith; special friend, Kamesha Watson; step-siblings, Antwine, Vonda, Shanta, and Robert; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
