William Isaac Robinson, III, known to many as “Bruh,” was born on June 26, 1934 to the late William Isaac and Lillie Mae Fitchett Robinson, Jr. in Northampton County, Virginia. He departed this life on April 27, 2020 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia.

William attended the schools in Northampton County. In later years, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country. He received awards in special forces and golden gloves, before he was honorably discharged. After his military career ended, he joined the trucking industry. This was his passion, and he drove for over forty years.
William loved sports, especially baseball and was a phenomenal pitcher. He also enjoyed playing solitaire and watching Westerns in his spare time.
William accepted Christ and joined Antioch Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Calvin Washington, Sr. He loved the Lord and enjoyed attending Bible classes, where he received several certificates.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William “Pee Wee” Wynder; sisters, Virginia Ives, Annie Mae Weeks, Estella Tate, and Bessie Hyslop; and a brother, Quinton Garrett.
He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, Brenda Robinson of Birdsnest, VA, Gail (Charles) Trower of Eastville, VA, and Vanessa Rowley of Suffolk, VA; two sons, Keith (Rhoda) Robinson of Birdsnest, VA and Isaiah (Carrie) Custis of Harrington, DE; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; six great, great-grandchildren; loving caregiver, Mocile Brickhouse; good friend, George Upshur; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
