Earlie Mae Powell, beloved daughter of the late Rebecca Flowers, was born on May 2, 1928 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She peacefully departed this life on June 25, 2020 at her residence in Exmore, Virginia.

Earlie Mae was educated in the public schools in North Carolina. She worked in several industries throughout her life.
Earlie Mae was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Whitakers, North Carolina. She served her church as an usher and was the Mother of the Church.
In her spare time, she enjoyed completing word search puzzles, watching Wrestling, and fishing. Her sweet spirit will be missed by all her knew and loved her.
Earlie Mae was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Flowers; son, Harold Powell; and sister, Mary Greene.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Beverly (Samuel) White of Alexandria, VA and Sheliah (Will) Siler of Exmore, VA; four grandchildren, Charles Pittman, Annika (Jamal) Tolson, both of Alexandria, VA, Brian (Ebony) Powell, of Exmore, VA, and Dominick (Sheonta) Powell of Petersburg, VA; twelve great-grandchildren; special niece, Jane Bryant of Rocky Mount, NC; special nephew, Louis Bryant of Rocky Mount, NC; special great-niece, Vontina Greene of Whitakers, NC; four nieces, Christine King, Thereatha Greene, Coletha King, all of Rocky Mount, NC, and Maxine Adams of Washington, DC; special friend, Nell Simmons; and host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
