Clifton James Milbourne, son of Mildred Milbourne and the late Luther Milbourne, Sr., was born on June 18, 1950 in Snow Hill, Maryland. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at his residence.
“Click,” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Worcester County. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and proudly served his country.
As a youth, “Click” worshiped at Mt. Wesley United Methodist Church and remained there for many years. He had a passion for music and served his church as the musician for the Men’s Choir. “Click” possessed a true gift. He didn’t read music but could pick up any vocalist just by listening. In later years, he became the organist at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He served there faithfully, until his health prevented him from doing so.
“Click” enjoyed life to the fullest and was always willing to help anyone in need. His passion was detailing cars, so you never saw him driving a dirty car. His cars were always spotless, no matter what he was driving. They caught the eyes of many on his daily rides around the town of Snow Hill. “Click” would frequent the local park with his friends, stop in to check on family members at times, and then return to his personal car wash on Blake Road. At that final stop he would put his final touches on his “whip” before returning home for the day.
“Click” will be missed immensely, but the precious memories he left will live on in our hearts forever. He fought a good fight and finished his course, he endured hardship like a good soldier and his living was not in vain.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Milbourne, Sr.; a brother, Waldorf Ginn; a sister, Patricia Bryant; and an aunt, Doris Purnell.
“Click” leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Pamela Milbourne; mother, Mildred Milbourne; daughter, Shelly Milbourne; two brothers, Oliver Milbourne and Luther (Linda) Milbourne, Jr.; one sister, Maria (Lyonell) Purnell; one aunt, Beulah Massadin; two uncles, Robert Purnell and Barley (Debbie) Purnell; four stepchildren, Shawn (Michelle) Williams, Markysha Williams, Rodney Ballard, and Lanette Murphy; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carmela (Terry) Milbourne; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
